Arielle is a Registered Social Worker with 12 years of experience working in mental health roles in Canada and Australia. She supports people struggling with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, loneliness, and grief. Her main areas of interest are working with young adults, as well as new parents experiencing postpartum challenges.
Arielle’s style is conversational, warm and compassionate. To feel authentically heard is one of the most precious things a person can experience, and Arielle strives to provide that for everyone with whom she meets. Some of the benefits you can expect to get from sessions with Arielle are: a better understanding of your reactions to people and events in your life; means of coping with difficult emotions; ways to structure your life to increase meaning and joy; and strategies to communicate your needs to people who matter to you.
Arielle has been trained in various forms of therapy and draws mainly from trauma-informed, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioural and mindfulness approaches. She is constantly expanding her skills through reading and training. She is finishing up a certificate in working with trauma, and is embarking on a perinatal mental health course to better support clients transitioning to parenthood.
Outside of her professional life, she is a mother to two human children and two cats with magnificent tails. She enjoys reading, listening to 80s synth pop, exploring new neighbourhoods, and relaxing with a crossword puzzle.
