What is Healing Touch?

Founded by registered nurse Janet Mentgen in 1989, Healing Touch (HT) is a holistic energy therapy that emphasizes compassionate, heart-centered care facilitating the restoration of balance linking mind, body, emotion and spirit for the highest good. Through gentle, non-invasive touch or near body touch Liz and her client’s are equal partners in promoting optimal health and healing. After a session, clients can expect to feel a deep sense of relaxation and tranquility.

Healing Touch complements and is used in collaboration with conventional health care. Clients stay fully clothed and can choose to sit up in a chair or lay down on a massage table during the session. The session typically lasts 40 to 60 minutes. Regular sessions are recommended, as the effects of Healing Touch tend to be cumulative.

Liz has been practicing HT since 2004 and has helped many individuals with the application of Healing Touch. Her work has been used to support the healing of those individuals struggling with stress management, body/back pain, arthritis, headaches, anxiety, depression, PMS, rehab after surgery and cancer care. 

As a complement to Healing Touch, Liz also practices Reiki and Therapeutic Touch, which have contributed to her breadth and depth of knowledge. Healing Touch, Reiki, and Therapeutic Touch sessions are all available upon request.
