Reiki Organisations/Associations
There are a number of Reiki Associations and Organisations both within Canada and Internationally.
Most organisations give guidance and standards on Reiki practice, a code of ethics, a membership criteria and registration process for Students, Practitioners, Reiki Master Teachers, a list of members, other registration requirements and provide resources for members and promotional and resource listings for those looking to experience Reiki.
Reiki as a practice is not regulated by one provincial or governing body and membership of organisations is optional. In some areas, membership of a Reiki organisation is required to receive a Holistic Practitioner licence (e.g. City of Toronto) to provide Reiki to others as a holistic service in a public environment e.g. Holistic Centre.
Membership of a Reiki organisation can demonstrate a commitment to work to agreed standards of practice, to uphold the values of Reiki and demonstrate a commitment to professional practice.
